Child Life Program Uses Special

As a Senior Consultant at Merrill Lynch, Herbert Roy Zucker has developed successful strategies to create financial portfolios for his clients. He is also the founder of SafeDecisions, LLC, a personal security service that provides the only UL-listed, remote activated in-room electronic safe. Outside of his professional pursuits, Herbert Roy Zucker has been involved with various charities including the Children’s Medical Fund of New York (CMFNY).

Founded in 1966, the Children’s Medical Fund of New York aims to build a medical facility for children that provides New York residents with access to the best medical services. Over the past decades, CMFNY has raised funds for the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York. The fund also helped in the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment to upgrade the hospital’s diagnostic and treatment plans. Additionally, the fund successfully launched many hospital initiatives including the child life endowment program.

CMFNY’s child life endowment program was created in 2016. It consists of eclectic therapy modalities that are implemented to help children who experience stress as a result of serious illness. The program is run by child life specialists whose main goal is to better the wellbeing of hospitalized children using unique techniques such as pet therapy and music therapy. The fund accepts donations of varying amounts for the program.
