Nassau Museum Offers Summer Art Program for Children

Herbert Roy Zucker, the owner of SafeDecisions, LLC, has many interests outside of his career in security and financial services. In addition to donating his time to community organizations, Herbert Roy Zucker also contributes to the Nassau County Museum of Art, which hosts various programs featuring diverse artists and their works.

Its children and family programs include the Summer Art Lab Program, which offers children the chance to enjoy indoor and outdoor art activities. A popular program held in the Manes Art and Education Center, the Summer Art Lab comprises four themed week-long sessions. During these sessions, children draw inspiration from the museum’s exhibits, outdoor sculptures near its preserve, and contemporary artists to immerse themselves in the creative process. They also create unique art pieces while making memorable experiences.

The program is open to children who will enter kindergarten in the fall. It begins in the middle of July and ends at the beginning of August. Summer Art Lab Program is a great way to end the summer before kids return to school. For more information, visit the museum website at nassaumuseum.org/project/summer-art-lab-2023.
