Security Safes in Hospital Enhance Patient Experience Close

A Glen Cove, New York resident, Herbert Roy Zucker serves as a senior consultant at Merrill Lynch. He works with clients like executives and business owners, assisting them in reaching their financial goals. Herbert Roy Zucker is also a principal at SafeDecisions LLC, which distributes ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions electronic safes for use by retailers, schools, and hospitals.

As nonclinical factors like staff attitudes, convenience, and patient amenities become more integral to a good patient experience, one way hospitals can meet this mark is to offer electronic safes next to hospital beds. This allows patients to store their valuables during their stay, and they provide easy access to smartphones, laptops, tablets, wallets, and other belongings.

While items from home can make a hospital stay more comfortable, worries regarding the safekeeping of valuable belongings can become a cause of stress. Added anxieties can hinder healing, and the loss or theft of personal property can negatively impact the patient experience. However, hospitals that make it simple for patients to secure their valuables can increase patient satisfaction rates, which may lead to more people choosing that facility over other options.

The Americas remained the company’s leading regional market, while Greater China accounted for its second. Europe was another high-sales region, with record sales in Germany and the United Kingdom.

In addition to sales of individual units, Rolls-Royce reached record levels for bespoke commissions value in 2022. Clients paid approximately $539,000 on average for customizations that year, with the Middle East surpassing all other regions in bespoke commissions. To bring its services closer to clients within that region, Rolls-Royce opened a private office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, last year.
