CMF Pediatric Center Provides Comfort

Herbert Roy Zucker, a resident of Glen Cove, New York, has a career spanning 46 years and two professions: real estate and financial services. Outside of his work Herbert Roy Zucker has supported a number of organizations, including the Children’s Medical Fund (CMF) of New York.

The CMF's Pediatric Diagnostic Center makes the MRI procedure more comfortable for children and convenient for parents. The center was designed for children who need MRIs, which for many can be intimidating. The center is projected to treat more than 4,500 children annually. The MRI center is outfitted with two state-of-the-art machines and a room for minor procedures.

To make the experience comfortable, the center was built to take away some of the scariness for children. While at the center, children can choose the color of the MRI walls, and they can watch videos projected onto the walls of the MRI machine. They are also provided pediatric MRI goggles to watch the film during the procedure. Providing children this distraction makes it easier for physicians to get good pictures of brain activity, the heart, the skeletal system, and other organs.

For the healthcare community, the Pediatric Diagnostic Center supports other programs such as neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, oncology, and neurosurgery. Moreover, children can be seen at the hospital as opposed to having to travel to the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, which is also more convenient for parents.

SafeDecisions for College Students

While he has spent most of his career in real estate and financial services, Herbert Roy Zucker also is the founder of SafeDecisions. As founder and principal of this company, Herbert Roy Zucker has created one of the first-of-its-kind in-room electronic safe providers and retailers.

College students are one of SafeDecisions' clients. According to the website, safety is a top concern for kids heading off to college and their parents. Moreover, on average, college students own at least seven pieces of technology worth thousands of dollars.

To help students secure their belongings, SafeDecisions has partnered with educational institutions. This particular product is considered a first-of-its-kind because of its smart technology. If a person cannot get into the safe for any reason, SafeDecisions can unlock the safe remotely. The user also is given a new random code generated every time there is a lock out. In addition, the firm not only provides students with the safe, but they also educate them on the proper use of it. Boating Has Increased in Popularity

An investment advisor from Glen Cove, New York, Herbert Roy Zucker has a number of hobbies outside of his career in financial services and real estate. Herbert Roy Zucker has interests that include boating, which has become even more popular in the last year. In actuality, one of his boats has been chronicled in "Speed on the Water".

In August 2021, USA Today reported that boating was a top trending activity, along with jet skiing. The article piggy backs reports that boating sales have been increasing since the beginning of the pandemic. This news is no surprise with millions of Americans having more time on their hands during the pandemic. Of those who purchased boats during this time, 10 percent were first-time buyers, contributing to the nine percent increase in sales from 2019 to 2020. In fact, boat sales have skyrocketed so much that dealers are having problems keeping all types of boats in stock. This includes power boats and new wake boats, used for wakeboarding and wake surfing.
